The KEY Association of Social Educators is a non-governmental organization founded in 2007 in Tîrgu-Mureș, at the initiative of the first graduates of Sapientia University, specializing in social pedagogy. The organization aims to create a more inclusive, tolerant and peaceful society through education and personal development.
We believe that we can achieve this through our programs, camps and projects, so we are present in formal and non-formal education, teacher training and lifelong learning, working with children, students, parents, educators and teachers.
Our activities aim to:
- Improve parent-child-teacher communication to increase the effectiveness of the educational process
- Promote tolerance towards and cooperation with people with disabilities
- Professional development and continuous teacher training
- Promote the principle of lifelong learning
To achieve the above goals, the association implements projects at local, regional, national and international level. In addition, in 2018, we set up the Bibola Development and Training Center together with the Srita Association.
We operate a number of permanent and regular programs:
- Szusszanó - a support group for parents of children with disabilities, which provides thematic meetings and recharging opportunities for parents
- Awareness program for the acceptance and inclusive education of children with special educational needs in kindergarten and school
- Professional days, workshops and conferences for teachers
- Skills development groups for children and adolescents with Down syndrome (cooking group and pottery workshop)
- Themed camps for children, with an emphasis on individual development
